Unable to send email via active sync
A few days ago I had a power failure and found out the hard way that the batteries in my ups were dead. This is on a SBS 2003 server. The exchange IS corrupted as a result. I resorted the entire IS from tape. After that the public store would not mount properly - it created a new blank database and then mounted.
Since then, the one user I have who uses a Droid to connect via active sync is unable to send messages from the Droid. He can send via OWA. He can send from OMA. I ran the exchange connectivity test successfully. I removed the account on his Droid and re-connected with no success. It is only from the Droid he cannot send.
FWIW - I also run BES on the same server and it is having no issues.

Alan,
Great Article.
Great Article.
Thanks - It is one I am proud of : )
Need to find a few more broken Exchange 2003 servers then I can add some more to it.

I finally got a chance to run through all the settings in Alan's article. Everything looks good there but still cannot send email via the Droid.
What took you so long - it is a short article ( laughing )?
Do you have any other mobile phones that are able to send out mail and are they working?
Not sure if this is a Droid issue or something else - not seen this behaviour before.
Have you tried removing the account from the Droid, rebooting it and then adding the account again? If not - please do and see where that takes you.
Thanks
Alan

It is a short article but I don't read so well and you type too fast - I couldn't keep up :) Seriously, it had to do with the clien't location & the fact that they were in a major project and didn't want me messing with their server until they were done.
I have removed the Droid & reconnected without success. This Droid is the only device using ActiveSync - the other phones are using Blackberries with BES.

I can test an iPhone / iPad if you like, then we can rule out your server config if it works.
Am not a Droid fan and don't have access to one to use for testing so can't offer any guidance directly on their configuration, but I am leaning towards a Droid problem because if it can receive, it sure as hell should send too!
