I need assistance opening a file in Access
Hi Experts,
I need to write an Access 2003 application that will open, format, and finally save an Excel spreadsheet. I need to have the user browse for the Excel file. Is there an OpenFileDialog and SaveFileDialog feature in Access? How can I accomplish this?
Thanks in advance,
mrotor

khan,
Just to give credit where it is due, I believe the original soure of that code was either the URL I posted, or one of Ken Getz's books. Either way, there was a stipulation for use of the code, see below.
' This code was originally written by Ken Getz.
' It is not to be altered or distributed, 'except as part of an application.
' You are free to use it in any application,
' provided the copyright notice is left unchanged.

Agreed Got from GOOGLE :)
Yes, unless the code is yours exclusively, or you have modified the inner working so much that it no longer contains the bulk of the original code, ...always site your references.
Or better yet, simply post the link instead of going through all the trouble of copying and pasting.
There have just been too many instances of Experts posting code and not giving credit.(Trying to make it look like it is their code)
Not that this is the case with you, ...but again, just post the link...
Make sense?
Sound fair?
