I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

From 2005 onwards, you can rebuild using the ONLINE option

ALTER INDEX ALL ON TBL REBUILD WITH(ONLINE = ON)

ALTER INDEX SomeIndexName ON TBL REBUILD WITH(ONLINE = ON)

For Standard (just reread question) it is not a page lock - it will lock the entire table without the ONLINE option available.
