HP T5545 Thin Client comparable device

Can someone recommend a comparable, cheaper ThinClient for only Remote Desktop Services (no Citrix or VMware) running W2K8 RS2?

Thank you

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

t5455 is a full fledged PC with disk replaced with flash chip. it is sometimes easier to cripple a product than to design something less functional.
You can add a bit bigger ide flash card and boot linux XP-FLP with terminal server client

look at Sun Ray, Dell FX and Wyse products. None is extremely cheap.

My personal experience says Wyse is most durable of them.

We got the T5455 to test with it. One problem I found was that when connected to TS over the internet the sound doesn't really work, all I hear is noise but when connected via regular Desktop RDP to the TS over the internet the quality is not so bad, maybe something close to radio quality. Is the sound problem because the little box doens't have enough  power to process it?

Sound hardly works with microsoft RDP cleint over 100Mbps ethernet. Network jitter plays significant role there.
Best to disable it on server until networks develop to handle it.

in this case the sound kinda works on the MS RDP over Internet (not 100Mbs) but doesn't at all on the HP Thin Clinet RDP client, so I was wondering why
