CIsco Catalyst Switch 2960G Link Aggregation

Hi,

I am looking to setup t?wo ports on my Cisco Catalyst 2960G series switch to work as a full pair in link aggregation. If I remember correctly it is the IEEE 802.3ad dynamic link aggregation. Does anyone know the Cisco IOS commands to enable each interface for such a configuration

it is quite simple really.  In this example i will use fa0/1 and fa0/2 as the interfaces to be bundled.

enable
configure terminal
interface range fa0/1 - 2
shutdown
channel-protocol lacp
channel-group 1 mode active
no shutdown

Shutting down the interfaces on both ends of the link reduces the chance that something might go wrong when the interfaces come back up and try to negotiate the line/protocol status.
The group number doesn't need to be the same on both ends of the link but it helps to keep them the same for management purposes.
