Dell Dimension 4600 desktop opc

The above was gfted to me and the OS is XP Home Edition with Ser Pack 3 installed.  Can I upgrade this desktop to windows 7.  Can the architechure take the new windows 7 OS.  Since it is new, nothing has been installed in it except for the XP OS.

This system can run 32-bit Windows 7 installations but it may possibly take a bit of work to find all of the compatible drivers for the devices on this system. I see this system can handle up to 4GB of RAM so increasing the RAM would be beneficial. Although Win7 requires (states) a minimum of 1GB of RAM, I would personally aim for no less than 2GB for better performance.

if it does not have all the drivers -  and the Lan is working, i suggest to use drivereasy and let it scan -  it will list the drivers you need.
your choice to use drivereasy then, or google them yourself !
