SQL Sever Maintenence 2008R2 With SAP Business One

I'm using SAP Business One 8.8 on MS SQL Server 2008 R2. I am more familiar with MySQL and my company came from Quickbooks. I asked my SAP Partner and they told me there is no regular maintenence required on MSSQL with SAP. However, I feel like this is a wrong answer and that I should be doing things like rebuilding indexes, etc.

Can anyone give me some database maintenence pointers? We're backing up daily, but I feel like we should be addressing indexes, etc.

If there's anything you recommend, or resoruces/books worth checking out please let me know.
