can't print from mac to printer on xp - get nt_status_logon_failure authentication problem

I can't print from a mac OSX 10.6.7 to a Windows XPSP3 pc.
I get an authentication error.  I've tried several combinations of username & password.

I can't seem to get the username password syntax correct or something.

nt_status_logon_failure is the error.  The print job stays on hold.  I can click resume and get a new login.

The PC is in a domain.
I can see the PC from the mac in finder.

The PC name is fayette11
the complete name with the domain is fayette11.intergy.local
username is awilson
I've tried fayette11/awilson    //fayette11/awilson //fayette11.intergy.local/awilson@intergy.local fayette11.intergy.local/awilson@intergy.local  //fayette11/awilson@intergy.local     fayette11/awilson@intergy.local

I think I installed the add/remove windows components - print services for says 0.0 next to it as far as I'm not sure if it took...I first tried to download from Windows and it installed C:SFC folder but I couldn't figure it out after that so I found and original windows CD not SP3 and installed the component.

printer is an hp 2200 connected with USB.

Any help is appreciated.

Does the HP support Postscript, and if so, is the Postscript driver installed and shared?

also, the name should be domainname\username  or \\hostname\username (forward slash for unix and mac, backslash for Windows)

Or you can use username@domainname, depending on the domain configuration.

so that would be awilson@intergy.local, or intergy\awilson

The  intergy\awilson did it.  Seems like it takes a while to print compared to a network printer but it works. Thanks for the quick response and solution.
