Packard Bell M37-T-003 Drivers for XP

I have a laptop with Vista but would like to install Windows XP.

The drivers on the manufacturers FTP website (6 drivers) are provided for Vista only.

ftp://ftp.download.packardbell.com/NOTEBOOK/EasyNote%20MX37%20series/Driver/Vista/

Can anyone locate the 6 drivers that would be compatible for Windows XP.

Please go to www.drivereasy.com it is free and will get your driver you need.
Open the Device Manager, click Start then Run and enter devmgmt.msc
Right click on the devices you need drivers for and select properties.
Then select the "Details" tab
Use Ctrl+c to copy the device instance ID string.
Then paste it (Ctrl+v) in your reply.
I will try to find your drivers for you.
when you run drivereasy, it will show after the scan what drivers must be updated; click on "Get drivers" and note them.
you can now either let drivereasy update them (free= slow), or google them yourself !
Or try this to identify the devices : --> especially your Lan (needed for Drivereasy)

Start>Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Information.
Now select  "Components" and highlight "Problem Devices".
All hardware devices with a driver problem will be listed here.
Make a note of the first line of the PNP Device ID line of the entry. It will show a Vendor number and a Device number (VENxxxxDEVxxxx) both four digits long.
Look up those numbers here:   http://www.pcidatabase.com/index.php

This will tell you the manufacturer and the chip number.
Check the manufacturer's website first or google them - or post them here

I tried :

Ethernet Controller
PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_001C&SUBSYS_10261A3B&REV_01\4&161948&0&0030
http://sites.google.com/site/misterpaginadeprueba/Atheros_WLAN_XB63_Driver_5.1.1.9_XP.zip?attredirects=0

but it hangs on 91%. This was the one you posted earlier. any suggestions why?

Also, does it matter that some of these drivers are for other manufacturers? will this not cause "crashes"
"but it hangs on 91%. This was the one you posted earlier. any suggestions why?"
Does it hang while downloading or installing?

Also, does it matter that some of these drivers are for other manufacturers? will this not cause "crashes"
No it does not matter.
Install the wireless manually and direct the installer to:
Extracted Folder\ZR3_Atheros_XB63_5.1.1.9_XP_WHQL\XP_5.1.1.9_LED_Negative_Pole\WHQL_5-1-1-9_X32
it hangs on installing.

By manually - do you mean right clicking on device and updating that way
Yes, that's what I mean.
thanks very much
all working fine
edbedb

sorry for getting back after I have closed the question.

I didn't try the hotfix :

PCI Device
PCI\VEN_1039&DEV_7502&SUBSYS_C10B1631&REV_00\3&267A616A&0&78
Use the Fixit here.
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/888111

the fixit did not work - can you locate the actual driver

many thanks
did you try using the link i gave above?
good work Ed..
Good morning nobus, thanks.

Try this install package then post the results,
ftp://ftp.download.packardbell.com/NOTEBOOK/EasyNote%20MX37%20series/Driver/Vista/Realtek_HD_Audio_5494.exe
Thanks for replying

nobus
I did try the link, but could not locate the driver

edbedb
I have tried this link already, these were the originial drivers that didn't work, the installer does not recognise the operating system.
What is your Windows XP service pack? SP1, Sp2 or SP3?
SP3
Could you check the Device Manager again and get the Device Instance ID's for any flagged devices?
and drivereasy?  di d you try that?
The laptop picks up the device but is unable to install driver.

I attach some screen dumps.
HDAUDIO.pdf
I just want to make sure we are still looking for the right drivers. Please check the Device Manager again and get the Device Instance ID's for that device.
It was :

Before installing the fixit, it was :

PCI Device
PCI\VEN_1039&DEV_7502&SUBSYS_C10B1631&REV_00\3&267A616A&0&78

After the fixit :

it is now (on the attached PDF) :

HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0660&SUBSYS_1631C10B&REV_1000\4&32BF5F1B&0&0001

I just noticed that  myself :

why should this change, the manufcaturer (vendxxxx) should be the same
Because the Fixit installed the needed drivers for the High Definition Audio Bus and now it is picking up the sound adapter on that bus.

See if this one will work.
ftp://ftp.compaq.com/pub/softpaq/sp33501-34000/sp33612.exe
the driver installed ok. but no sound is coming out?
Nobus

Working fine now - thank you very much for posting back.

cheers
what do you mean?  drivereasy worked?   not sure ...
