Astrisk WebAdmin

Hello,

I currently setup a Astrisk server all is well internally when I access the web admin using http://xx.xx.xx.xx:8088

So then I forward port 8088 on my firewall to the LAN IP of my Astrisk server and it does not come up... when putting in http://mywanIP:8088

Does anyone know if I have to config a certain file in the astrisk to allow access in the web admin from the outside? Please advise and thanks!

Here is the alternative.
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=902762

Basically, do the port mapping for ssh port to the webmin box on firewall/router. Then use ssh tunneling to access webmin.
on your home machine (you can use putty for Windows box) to setup ssh tunnel
-------------
ssh user@MyWAN-IP -L 8080:localhost:8088
-------

Then open the browser and type
http://localhost:8088/

P.S.
1. Make sure you can do ssh user@MyWAN-IP first.
2. Do not close ssh session/tunnel while you still browsing the webmin

It could be your ISP only allow port 80 as HTTP port. Check with your ISP first.
Or map
http://mywanIP/
to
http://xx.xx.xx.xx:8088

All ports on my ISP are open to us...I've already spoken to them regarding any ports being blocked.
