This is great for showing you how to do it -

Could style it using the 'sliding doors' technique for adjustable widths and transparent slants at both ends with a darker background.

I've got the tabs working already so the javascript part is fine.

What I'm looking for is the css part.

Hope this helps

Thanks

Yeah for the styling, create an image for the left and right with a 1px slice in the middle, float the divs left and right to fill the gap  so they are expandable- http://www.alistapart.com/articles/slidingdoors/

If you can use fix widths for the tabs, then create a css sprite image  http://davidwalsh.name/css-sprites

Or were you looking for a ready-made solution?
