Automatic Acrobat updated ruin the printer preferences
It' nice that Acrobat updates automatically to cure security holes etc.
It is - however - not nice at all that these automatic updates reset the Printing preferences and the Printer Properties for th Adobe PDF printer back to the defaults:
* Paper size A4 is reset to Letter
* Use of System Fonts only is activated again
This happens in Acrobat 9.x.x, last time at the update from 9.4.2 to 9.4.3
How can I avoid this behaviour?

xmlmagician, tahnks for the idea.
I have already set "Automatically download upates, but let me choose when to install them".
So the problem seems to arise from any update...
If it would be possible to save the preferences... But that is not possible at all.
A script which sets preferences and printer settings might help - but how to write such a script and run it at start of Acrobat?
Are there any examples available?

Answer gave goodf hints, but probably need to follow a different route for a solution: script in Acrobat running at start of application.
