Cisco ASA 5505 - MAC - IP Reservations

I currently have DHCP enabled on my ASA 5505 which is working fine.

But what I require is specific IP’s handed to specific MAC addresses.

I have had a quick look around the ASA but couldn’t see anything that I thought was what I was after.

So what I was looking for is MAC reservations to a specific IP

Could you also let me know how to do this from the command line.

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Afaik the ASA doesn't support that. So you should either use a DHCP server that does or assign static ip's to those machines outside of the DHCP scop.

The reason I ask is because I had a Cisco 877 ADSL Router and that did have that feature.

Its not a problem was just hoping to run it from the ASA instead of different servers etc....

Yep, IOS has those features, ASA OS hasn't :-~
