VMware server login error on win 2008 server machine


I'm trying to access vmware server after installation in an windows 2008 server and I get the error message

"The VMware Infrastructure Web Service at "http://localhost:8222/sdk" is not responding"

Have you checked that the Web Service Service is running and started?

is port 8222 responding to telnet localhost:8222

I found that the host service was stopped and I was not able to start it. I reinstalled vmware from scratch and now it works.

Allways the simplest errors are the most difficult to find.
