Cisco Secure ACS 5.1

If I SSH in to our ACS box and run a reload command:

1) It is just a reboot, no config is lost, correct?
2) Will is cause any downtime? Will AP's go into stand-alone mode?

ps. We have 2 ACS boxes.

Thanks!

Hi,

1) Yes you will loose you running config unless you save it.
2) downtime?!...during reboot maybe.

zazagor: What are you talking about?

There is no running-config except for the initial ip setup in the ACS 5.x. Unless this has never been saved you dont have to wory about "wr mem". Everything else (policies, network objects...) are not in the running-config but elsewhere and there is no need to "wr mem" of it.

I recommen that you thru the GUI make a backup of the config before reloading.

And yes, unless your access-points and other network equipment are configured with multiple radius/tacacs-servers you will loose connectivity during reboot which will take 5-10 minutes.
