Planning for SCR test
Hi Everyone
We are currently running Exchange 2007 SP2 in multiple AD sites. Each site has a single A/P SCC mailbox cluster, two HT's and two CAS servers. Each site also has a correponding DR site where we have two HT's, two CAS's and an SCR target server for all the SG's of the SCC.
To make this easier, let me take one site as an example.
London (prod site):
CMS: Exch1.domain.com, available on n1.domain.com or n2.domain.com
Also has; LDNHub1, LDNHub2, LDNCas1, LDNCas2.
Paris (DR site):
SCR: SCR.domain.com
Also has: PARHub1, PARHub2, PARCAS1, PARCas2.
All the SG's on Exch1.domain.com are replicated to SCR.domain.com via SCR.
All good so far :)
We want to simulate a DR test though where we'd lose the London site and would need to fail over to Paris. We'd leave this for the weekend, and then fail back to London on the Sunday
So we'd Fail over CMS to SCR node (I will look into this in more detail) and set up the former live node as the SCR.
What do we do then in terms of keeping it like this for the weekend, and then failing back to London on the Monday in terms of SCR?
