Can you lock a pc but keep it visible or keep one monitor visible?

We have a helpdesk software that I keep on a dual monitor all the time to look for new requests.  It would be nice if there was some way other than another pc to keep the helpdesk website active and visible.  I want my pc to be locked but still see whats on the screen or keep one monitor active.  Is that possible?  Thanks

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

the only way I could think of you doing this is by using a blank/seethrough screensaver with a password on it.

though my hunch is that those types of screensavers take a screenshot of your desktop rather than it being the live data.

To lock your computer is to stop anyone from viewing or accessing what you are working on. what you seem to need is almost like a lock on a screen by screen basis which I just don't think Microsoft planned for.
