How to replace paragraph?

In Word 2003, I have a list of numbers separated by a paragraph.  When I show special characters, I can see the paragraph symbol at the end of each number.  I'd like to replace these paragraphs with commas, so that there is a straight line of numbers seperated by commas.

In the replace dialogue box, I select More | Special and Paragraph Character as the character to replace.  But nothing happens.  It says the search item was not found.  Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?  File is attached.

Performing what I noted on your attached file worked for me.

That worked but not sure why they say to use ^v.
I selected the Paragraph Mark (^p) but I see where the Paragraph Character (^v) option is also available. The Paragraph Character is literally a character that you can add from the Symbols options in Word. If you hide Paragraph Markers, you will still see any Paragraph Characters that have been added explicitly into the document.
