Exchange outlook anywhere Authenication problems
Experts,
I am hoping that someone would be able to give me a hand with something. Exchange 2007 with outlook anywhere enabled, all Certs up to date, everything seesm installed correctly.
Now when configuring Outlook , it finds the server fine and Auto Discover is working as it should, but the problem that I am having has to do with Authenicating the user. The Logon box comes up, and I eneter the credentials, as I would if I were in the office, but I keep getting rejected. I have tried the follwoing ways
User Name
Full Email Address
Domain\Username
Nothing seems to work, Anyone have any suggestions?

you can configure the settings in outlook by GPO. The authentication type configured in outlook must match the authentication type on the CAS server. see it on EMC->Server Configuration-> choose the CAS Server on the right pane and click properties-> outlook anywhere tab
You can write a .vbs script to automatically configure that. I dont know how though :) Our backend server guys do that.

1. In Connection Tab
2. In Exchange Proxy Settings
3. Try using "Basic Authentication" in the Proxy authentication settings.
