Custom Policy Settings for BES (4.1.6)
We're running BES Ent 4.1.6. I need to setup a custom policy so we can hide some icons from the handhelds. We seem to have an issue with devices running OS5 and 6. for example, we need to hide setup -> email setup. We don't want anyone using a personal account on company devices. Another would be to hide the BBM icon.

We're planning to upgrade to v.5 very soon. Do you know if those policies would be included?
You can hide BBM from the handheld using BES policies.
Hiding the Email Setup icon can only be done by contacting your mobile network provider and asking them to provision the handhelds for BES only. This will trigger an OTA update that will remove the Email Setup icon.

I think you are going to struggle with this. When 4.1.6 was released, BB handheld software v.6 hadn't been released. It is unlikely that new functions on the handheld would be able to be controlled via policy. As there will be no further updates to v.4 BES, you may need to look into upgrading to v.5 to gain the necessary control over the handhelds. Failing that, there may be some third party software that you could use.
