The Latitude ON feature on the Latitude 6510 Notebook

Hello,

The Dell 6510 offers a feature called "Latitude On Reader"--it allows you to not fully boot the OS and read your email.  As the name implies it is only a reader, you cannot compose or reply to emails etc.   There is a another feature called "Latitude ON"--this allows you to get to email and the internet and is fully functional.   Does anybody know how to install "Latitude ON"  There are 4 downloads on Dell's website for this application--Firmware, Application, Source Code, and the Latitude On Utility.   My OS is WIN7 Pro.  FYI, Dell support was zero help to me

Can someone tells which of these downloads I need and which order to install them in.  Please provide great detail.

Thank you,

John

normally it would be the Firmware that will need to be installed first for the software to be allowed to install.
i haven't installed an instant on OS before so i cannot provide detail, i did find a guide of how to install presto OS
http://www.techradar.com/news/software/operating-systems/how-to-add-an-instant-on-os-to-your-windows-pc-610252
OR try SplashTop which is what i use myself since it shipped with my HP
http://os.splashtop.com/

I would advise you to be cautious about installing dell's Instant on instead of Instant on reader, they might be a reason dell didn't ship it with it preinstalled.
