Can't load Hyper V session

I have Hyper V server installed on a 2008 server, I created 2 virtual computers, I renamed the snapshot of one thinking I could reuse it as a different name.  After reading that that does not work and you have to shut down VPC and export and import I shut down the VPC and it would not let me export.  I closed Hyper V Manager and reopened and the VPC I created was gone form list.

I can go to c:\users\public\....\ and see that it is still there but I can't open or import it.  How do I get it back?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You can check the following link http://eniackb.blogspot.com/2009/05/how-to-recover-hyper-v-virtual-machine.html

Using method 2 you should be able to restore your VM.
