Lenovo G550 Screen flicker on VGA to TV

It was working fine for a long time and suddenly from past one month whenever i fix my laptop to TV through VGA the TV screen starts flickering and most of the controls of my keyboard and mouse starts acting weird and sometimes don't work at all and to stop the flickering i have to unplug my charger and watch the TV connected on battery. This issue is quite common but i am sure the cable is not faulty as it was working fine for a long time and recently it has started

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I would connect another monitor to the laptop to see if it happens.  If it doesn't, then something is wrong with the cable or tv.

Well going to accept my own solution as the problem was the electric outlet. I have a power extension on which the set top box is connect and it never created any issue but tonight i tried to plug it out and checked by connecting the VGA and its back to NORMAL. Thanks bahige for your instant response though :).

This issue is pretty common with all the laptops connecting TV through VGA. It rarely happens but if it does, Just make sure that your electrical supply is OK and it is not conflicting with TV while connecting your Laptop.Try disconnecting the other devices near to the TV .Thank you.
