"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

rgb192,

Your provider (t-mobile?) MAY be able to retrieve that information if you replace the phone. Otherwise, you are likely out of luck if you can't see anything on screen or interact with any apps.

As far as screen replacement goes, I suspect it may cost as much or more than replacing the phone... but try:

www.portatronics.com
http://cnn.cn/shop/
http://shop.inspecturgadget.com/T-Mobile-Phone-Repairs-s/379.htm

and of course.... eBay. You may be able to scavenge one for parts.

Cheers,

Good find, leakim971. I see they have the LCD as well (the above link was just for the glass, here's the LCD: http://www.mobilephonecrazy.com/modeldetail/Comet,LCD_Display_Screen.htm)

But, as I noted, if you need to replace them, it may cost more than a new phone.

So the screen and the touchscreen are different separate parts

The part you touch is the outer hard screen. The LCD underneath it is a separate part. Depending on what's damaged, one or both of those may need replacement, or there may be more...

>>or there may be more...

what for example

I don't have anything specific in mind, just that if you've damaged your phone badly enough that the screen is damaged, other damage may have been done as well.
