Is it possible to create a True Type Font in color? I have a set of images that I would like to use as a .ttf, but I want to make them in color. Is this possible?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Fonts are never made in color ... fonts are just outlines ... the color is added to these outlines ... usually black, but it could be any other color.

TrueType fonts don't have any concept of colour; they just describe outlines (mathematically).

To print using different colours, you'd need to select the required foreground colour for the text; some applications will also allow the selection of different patterns as well.
