Expired certificates

Hello,

We are running a Root CA on Windows Server 2008. I looked today for expired certificates in the 'Issued Certificate' folder and found several in which the Requester is the CA itsself. They are all expired but I am still not sure if I simply can revoke the certs.  See screenshot.

Any thoughts on this?

Thank you

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I guess as they are expired you don't need to revoke these as they're invalid anyway. Revoking them just puts them on the Certificate revocation list (if at all as they're already expired) but does not change the way clients use them as a correctly configured server won't accept them anyway.
