Combinationbox defaults to top choice

I've got a form in Access 2003 with a combinationebox with values read from a table ie:

2011-3
2011-2
2011-1
2010-1
2009-1

If I select ie 2011-1, it defaults to 2011-3 after selection...it's driving mad, that I can't figure out what causes this. No underlying code as is causing it, as far as I can see.

please advice
Thanks
Michael

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.
