how can I detect session in rollback status


How can I detect session in rollback status, I see in the alert.log that there isn't enough space in TBS UNDO but the session are always active.

this will show you transactions that are using rollback

SELECT d.tablespace_name,r.NAME,s.username, s.SID,s.serial#,p.spid "Os/pid" , t.addr,t.used_ublk
FROM v$transaction t, v$rollname r, v$session s,v$process p,dba_rollback_segs d
WHERE t.addr = s.taddr
AND p.addr = s.paddr
AND t.xidusn = r.usn
AND d.segment_name = r.NAME
ORDER BY d.tablespace_name,r.NAME,s.username;

Thanks I see that USED_BLOCK decrease so I suppose the rollback will be finished when the USED_BLOCK are 0.

but you won't see it actually reach 0 though, when it does, that row will disappear from the query results because it will no longer be consuming rollback
