Add-in In Excel 2010 disappears after relaunching

All,

I heavily use the Quick Access Toolbar and I have customized it.  However, the customization related to the 3rd party add-ins will not stay when I close and re-start Excel.

I have exported the customization file and can re-import it.  However, it is a pain to re-import each time I start Excel.

<Under COM-Add-ins>

Acrobat PDFMaker Office COM Addin -- Unloaded
Excel and EQD COM Addin -- Load at Startup
Hyperion Smart View for Office -- Load at Startup

Any ideas on how to resolve this issue?

Thanks!

x86 version
Hi again,

Thanks for the info.

I suggest that You take part of an article by Ron de Bruin:
loss of state of the global IRibbonUI Ribbon object

Thanks for that info.
I looked at this and used it but I don't see how this would keep my "EQD COM" and "Hyperion" addons from disappearing.

Any explaination on why this happens?
OK, if the workbook has been created and saved with 2007 SP-2 then the issue is related to:

Where is my button that I add to the QAT of my workbook

When I do this, it stays in my QAT correctly... But on the clients machine it goes away...

Should he just reinstall or is there a file I can look at to repair or replace?

I'm sorry I do see the file  “customUI.xml” that I need to look at. Give me one second to look at that on his machine.

I have a wookbook with a customized QAT and I can't find any "usercustomization" folder or file named "custom.xml". I'm using Excel 2010, and Excel 2000 is also installed. Where can I find that customization file?
