I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Is this a fingerprint or hand shape scanner?
It could be the way the employee is placing their hand on the scanner.
Cupped, not-cupped.

hand shape scanner. There has been no change to the hand (that we can tell - no new cut, bandage, ring, etc. etc.).

This is only happening to 1 employee.

Perhaps the hand was in an odd configuration when the original scan was taken. Can you rescan the employee and update the image?
