Visual Presentation Testing of software applications - GUI presentation
Hello,
I made a couple of searches on the internet for the proper terminology and information about testing the visual presentation of the GUI. This type of testing is where one tries to determine the proper color for the GUI, the proper placement of the buttons, menus, etc.
I remember reading about the science of such testing. Might you know where I can find more information about this type of testing. One would think that it is subjective as to which presentation would please more people.

dgofman: thank you for responding. Unfortunately your answer is not what I am looking for. While your answer is correct when doing functional testing of the GUI, what I am looking for is the "human likeability of the presentation." It is more of a phychological/physilogical aspect of the web page. For example; A blue web page is more presentable than a bright orange.
If you want to get more professional advice I will recommend buying some of these books

dgofman: Close, I am looking for the name within "software testing" for this type of testing; the color preference of GUI users." It be nice to find a link that would explain how to conduct such testing. I was surprised that http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Software_testing does not have anything written about this.
Any other suggestions?
