Blackberry Enterprise Server Express 5.0.2.29 question

We are currently running a Blackberry Enterprise Express Server and using the BAS to manage it.  I have been looking for a way to set the days to keep messages setting on devices attached to the server.  All the information I have found thus far has not provided me with any answers.

The CMIME Applicaiton Policy options are not the same as the information I have found on the web.

Any suggestions would be great.  I am continueing to search for a solution.

thanks

You have an IT Policy setting called "Keep Message Duration" under the Email Messaging tab where you can specify the maximum number of days to store messages on the device.  This is helpful for lowering the default of 30 days if needed but doesn't do much if you want to retain them for more than this amount of time.  Email messages are stored on the device's internal memory (not the sd card) so limited memory will usually cause messages to auto-truncate after several weeks.

The image below is the only settings I can see in in the console. User generated image
It looks like your login doesn't have the necessary rights on the BES server.  You would need to login with an account that is a member of the Security Administrator role.

I will try that and see
