"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

This is actually pretty easy. Open the SBS console, go to Users and Groups, select Change user role for user accounts, Select the user role and select Replace user permissions or settings, click next, put a check in "Display all user accounts in the Active Directory" and add the users you want to convert. Click Change User Role and all the users you selected will be processed and set up as though they were added in the SBS console.

I will add; you may have to first move the users from the default AD "users" OU to the MyBusiness/SBSUsers OU. I am not sure the console wizard will recognize them otherwise.

SBS Console will recognize them in any OU in AD (just tested it). But the users should be moved to the MyBusiness/SBSUsers OU anyway.
I'd suggest you don't select 'replace user permissions' when changing the user role. There are two options. Replace removes any existing group memberships. Add will retain the existing memberships

thats a "msSBSCreationState" attribute under each user you created.

go in your excited user properties, under Attribute Editor, change the value of msSBSCreationState to "Created", Save and OK

open your SBS Console, go to user, and then refresh it.
