Error while installing SharePoint Products and Technologies Configuration Wizard

Hi Guys,

I am getting following error while installing MOSS 2007. When I am running SharePoint Products and
Technologies Configuration Wizard, after passing database server, database name and access acount information (username, password) when I click next, it says

An error has occurred while validating the configuration settings. An exception of type System.MissingMethodException was thrown. Additional exception information: Method not found: 'System.String Microsoft.SharePoint.Administration.SPSqlConnectionString.GetWYukonSafeConnectionString(System.String)'.

Is it because I am passing wrong username and password? I think I am entering correct database instance and its access permissions. Please help guys. I really appreciate your time.

Did you install the required software properly (like service packs etc.)?

Hi Guys
I am trying to install MOSS 2007 on Windows Server 2008 R2 and Its giving me the following error after providing the DB Details on the Config Wizard.

An Error has occured while validating the configuration settings.
An exception of type System.MissingMethodException was thrown.
Additional exception information Method not found:
System.String Microsoft.Sharepoint.Administration.SPSqlConnectionString.GetWYukonSafeConnectionsString(System.String)

SP2 is already installed on the Box.

I am using SQL SERVER 2008 R2

Please share your ideas.
