rman offline

my database is in production..
my database name is orc
the following script is in c:
I exit from sql
went to command prompt c:\backup
type rman
form rman>rman target sys/sys@orcl @C:\offline_full_whole.rman
output has multiple errors.
may I know the reason

shutdown immediate;
startup mount;
allocate channel d1 type disk;
backup as backupset database
format 'c:\backup\offline_full_whole.bus';
alter database open;
Who is Participating?
rman will create these files automatically and the directory should exist before backup

Have you done RMAN backups successfully of this database in the past, and now you get errors?  Or, are you trying to get RMAN working for the first time?

The username and password do not look correct to me.  Usually the "sys" logon is not used for RMAN, because SYS usually requies the "as sysdba" extension to the logon syntax.

I altered sys password to sys.
yes I am trying to get RMAN working for the first time...

try  this  script :

connect target sys/oracle@inst1

    allocate channel c1 type disk;
    allocate channel c2 type disk;
    allocate channel c3 type disk;
    backup incremental level 0 cumulative tag 'db0' format 'E:\oracle\product\10.2.0\flash_recovery_area\WZ\FLASHBACK/db0%u_%s_%p' database skip readonly;
    sql 'alter system archive log current';
    backup filesperset 3 format 'E:\oracle\product\10.2.0\flash_recovery_area\WZ\FLASHBACK/arch%u_%s_%p' archivelog all delete all input;
    release channel c1;
    release channel c2;
    release channel c3;
crosscheck backup;
delete noprompt expired backup;
delete noprompt obsolete;
resync catalog;

backup incremental level 0 cumulative tag 'db0' format 'E:\oracle\product\10.2.0\flash_recovery_area\WZ\FLASHBACK/db0%u_%s_%p'

will be created automatically or we have to manually create..
