Use local ip with OpenDNS

Hi Experts,

Thanks for reading my post.
I wanted to implement ,OpenDNS on one particular group of PC in my domain. Now the problem is OpenDNS is blocking our lotus mail (server ip is local viz., 10.xx.xx.xx.x and domain name is mail.enterprise.in) even though it has been added to opendns whitelist.

I tried searching thru their support forums but to no avail. Please if someone can help me on this.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Please double check that you added the entire net range of the services you need to be white-listed to the "Never Block List" and then flush your DNS resolver cache.

1. Login to your opendns account
2.Go to the Settings tab and select the network you wish to manage.
3.Click Advanced Settings.
4.Click Manage under Exceptions for VPN users in the Domain Typos section.
5.Add your internal domain(s) to this list.
6.Wait 3 minutes (worst case) and all should be well.

7. you should  add your localdns server to your client machine along with opendns dsn servers
