Cannot backup imorted policy 2008 R2
Hey Guy's
Ive exported my old terminal server policy from a 2003 dc to my new 2008r2 dc.
Export from my old 2003 DC = ok
restore from backup (read import) to my 2008R2 dc = ok
When i want to backup the policy from my new 2008r2 dc it gives a eventid: 2004 on Group policy management. and it doesn't make a backup
Second problem is that some old folder redirections are stil in the policy on my 2008 dc but i cant find them to delete them
someone familiar with this problem ?
thanks for any help

Because when i run a group policy result query it gives me the folowing error
under folder redirection
FRSettingRead failed with -2147020590
I need to delete the old settings but they just dont show up from gpmc on my 2008 dc

Well what you can is reset the GPO back to default which would remove all Windows 2003 settings out and put your GPO to the correct version. GPOs are replicated if you added the 2008 DC to the domain the GPO settings would have replicated to the server.
The only way to get around the issues is start from scratch when it comes to be GPO.
Do you still have Windows 2003 Server running as a domain controller?

Yes 2003 dc is still running but in a completely different domain because of some business changes.
I will start over with a new gpo ..... i also think thats the most quick solution

no real solution, but is just started over again with the policy
What is up with the folder redirection? Why do you think you have some old lingering polices?
