Exchange 2010 Autodiscover Issue

We're having issues with the Out of Office on a 2010 Exchange.

Outlook 2010 users get a message saying that the server is unavailable, I've done some research and found the usual scribe about certificates and such but they have a certificate with the following:

DNS Name=exchange.Domain.local
DNS Name=exchange.Domain.co.uk
DNS Name=Domain.local
DNS Name=autodiscover.Domains.local
DNS Name=autodiscover.Domain.co.uk

When I run "Test-OutlookWebServices -ClientAccessServer" I get the following:

RunspaceId :

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Or follow my article:

Check the autodiscover virtual directory in IIs and check the HTTp Redirect and ensure it is not redirecting

Fix the autodiscover VD first not EWS. Check the 'HTTP redirect' option in the middle pane of IIS manager for each VD

@MegaNuk3

I've followed your article and now when I browse to the Autodiscover.XML URL, I get a configuration error:

Parser Error Message: Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.Exchange.Security, Version=14.0.0.0

I've seen some of your posts on threads and replaced the XML file again but with the same result.

Any Ideas

Pay particular attention to Step4 where you have to edit the web.config you can try putting your old one back or turn on advanced error display on your CAS and then hit the URL from the CAS and see if you get any more advanced information.

Thanks. Glad to hear it is working now. Feel free to vote my article as helpful too ;-)

Out of interest - If you compare your old web.config with the new one you were creating can you spot where the issue was?
0
cntboysAuthor Commented:
Can't spot any differences.

Only got one issue now, I can access OOF as an Admin but Users can't, Autodiscover test also fails.

Checked permissions on the folder and Authenticated users have the appropriate rights.

Which autodiscover test fails? Outlook Autoconfiguration test or test-outlookwebservices ?

Outlook test Fails, test-outlookwebservice passes.

More points up on the new Q so feel free to post there.
