What's the best VPN solution for iPhone and Linux?
I want to able to access local network remotely with an iPhone. I have a centos server running 24/7 what's the best solution for that? I have installed pptpd on the server about a month ago. To this day, I have not been able to get it up and running. I am trying to find a new VPN solution for the linux server.
Did you investigate about SSH?
Here is a great Guide on how to configure PPTPD on a Centos server.

You might also look at using OpenVPN. It can be more secure that pptp. There's an app for the iphone and ipad: http://www.guizmovpn.com/ It does require your iphone to be jailbroken though so this may not be for everyone.

Are there any solution that are more universal cross-platform? I need the VPN to run across linux, windows, macs, and iPhone (with no jailbreak)

I object to deleting this question. Both myself and another person offered up pptpd as a vpn daemon. Also Racoon IPSec server is another option. If the questioner needs more clarification or detail, he should ask.

Sorry, I meant to close the other question.
I also object because I offered up pptpd and a howto solution to this question.
