Make sure the above is not placed in any cells in Column B or Column C.

Hello,

do you want to subtract B from C row by row? Then the usual way to do this is

=B1-C1

copied down.

If you want to subtract the total of column B from the total of column C, then

=SUM(B:B)-SUM(C:C)

cheers, teylyn
