oracle 10g need help

Hi,

Iam new to Oracle Collections using varrays and nested table. I have to train a few guys on these topics , I need help on the below topics on how I can achieve it:

Varrays used as columns in a table:
1.   When will i use a varray as a column in a table.
2.  How to insert values into a varray column
3. How to Update specific values in  a column which is a varray column
4. How to delete specific values from a column which is a varray.

example :
If I have a column called subtopic list it has the below values , I need update and remove the element called until loop.
table name :       Course_details
column Names : course_name  |   topic        | Subtopic
column values : oracle                  iteartion    For-loop,while-loop, do-while loop, until loop

Nested tables used as columns in a table:
1.   When will i use a Nested table as a column in a table.
2.  How to insert values into a nested table column
3. How to Update specific values in  a column which is a nested table column
4. How to delete specific values from a column which is a nested table.

example :
If I have a column called subtopic list it has the below values , I need update and remove the element called until loop.
table name :       Course_details
column Names : course_name  |   topic        | Subtopic
column values : oracle                  iteartion    For-loop,while-loop, do-while loop, until loop

Also , Iam unable to add a column to a table which is an varray or nested table using alter table command

Type ename_nt is table of varchar2(40);

create table order_list(
order_no number(12),
city varchar2(40));

alter table order_list add ename ename_nt ;

-- throws an undefined  datatype error..

thanks in advance.

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.
