Filemaker pro 11 Script

I have a database that has a single table ('Projects') with two table ocurrences. I have a layout based
on the Projects table. What I want to do is be able to have a user enter the number of projects he wants to look at
and the script should be able to return to a portal in the 'Project Details Layout' the employee id (s) that have
that number of projects entered by the user request. See database attached.

When you say "the number of projects" do you mean the projectID? I don't understand whether you want the user to enter multiple project ids and see all of Employee/Project records (which is really what you have here) or something else. It doesn't make much sense to me to have the user enter "3" projects and just select three at random...

Also, for what it's worth, you probably will want to divide this into two tables, "Projects" and "Project Component". The Projects table would contain the Project ID and the name of the Project (a field that you currently don't have) and the second would contain the "Description" field (which I'm referring to as Component) along with the Employee ID, costs, start, end and comments. And, a third table would be "Employees" linked to the Employee ID.
Here is a sample I put together for another use, but it may help you with your problem.
