I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Disable Windows firewall from Control Panel. If you fail to find it, inform me of your Windows version and I will guide you.

If you install the Remote Debugger on a computer, start it, go to the "Help" menu and choose "Usage" you should find some more details.  However, I did notice the section on security contained this paragraph:

No Authentication mode
No Authentication mode has no security. Visual Studio sends the current username to the remote debugger, but this information is not verified. No Authentication mode should never be used on a network that may have hostile traffic. No Authentication mode should never be used to remote debug across the Internet.
No Authentication mode supports native debugging only.

Native debugging would be something along the lines of C++, but not C# or VB.Net.
