"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Go to Start (Windows Orb in Win7) > All Programs > right-click on the Startup folder and choose Open. Place a shortcut to Outlook 2010 in this folder. Right-click on this shortcut and make sure the Run dropdown box is set to Minimized.

I've already done both comments, did that yesterday already, but when my computer starts it's minimized to the task bar and not the tray...

I just tested this including the Hide When Minimized setting for the Outlook icon in the systray, and when Windows 7 starts up, the Outlook icon shows in the taskbar only when the Reminders window kicks up (in minimized position). I went to click on the Outlook icon that appeared in the taskbar (shortly after startup) and the Reminders window would appear on-screen (previously minimized)... I could only get my Inbox to show on-screen by clicking on the Outlook icon in the systray.
