Connecting to VSphere from home ?

Experts,

At our office we currently have 3 V4.1 ESXi Servers each used for different purposes such as test and production environments. When I take my laptop home I am of course unable to connect to 192.168.1.198 because its a local IP.

Does anybody have any suggestions on remote access to these servers so that we can connect using the VSphere client from home ?

Any advice would be highly appreciated.

Use www.2x.com Application Server for FREE.

http://www.2x.com/applicationserver/download.html

This will allow you to create and Publish VMware vSphere Client for up to Three users for FREE, and create a web and application portal very quickly in 5 minutes and create a Secure SSL VPN.

RDP to a server (with vSphere client would do the same).

I have VSphere running on a machine at the office (a client of mine). I just remote into the server (easy via a VPN connection) and run VSphere from there.  ... Thinkpads_User

VPN software depends somewhat on operating system. I use NCP Secure Entry on Windows 7 Pro 64-bit.

Any free solutions ?

Shrew Soft is a free VPN solution and works quite well. If you are working from home on a normal broadband connection, it will work quite well. Both Shrew Soft and NCP are IPSec connections.

Windows itself has a built-in PPTP client.   ... Thinkpads_User

I forgot the sentence for the Mod.

Solultions were given to use 2x. Application Server and Shrew Soft VPN solution to offer Remote Access. Both products are free to download and use. I believe this answers the question that was submitted. The author replied with thanks, and you would try these. If the author was willing to try them, acting on this information provided by the Experts, the answer to the question submitted must have been answered with useful information.
