Dell Vostro - DVD drive

have a Dell Vostro 220 and the OS is windows 7.  The DVD that I have is the original that came with the pc.  I would like to replace the DVD with a lightscribe cd/dvd burner so that I could create labels using the light scribe CDs or DVDs.
Can I replace the present CD/DVD with a new light scribe?
If Yes, please advise what model will work with my above pc's configuration.  I would like to burn CDs and DVDs dual layers.
Thank u

it would probably be cheaper to get a USB light scribe player.

You should be able to pick one up for under $100 and be able to use it on any Windows 7 PC.

Replacing the internal one will be expensive.
Contrary to the post above installing the drive you want in this system is cheap(drive is less than $30) and it can easily be installed yourself(I'll include a link to the service manual). The drive is a standard sata optical drive, there are several available on neweggs website.

In response to Jamietoner, there are so many showing at Egghead from the cheapest to the more expensive.  I am thus confused on which one to choose.  Would u be able to recommend something that will support the legacy formats and the new formats.  Also please let me know on what criteria u used so that I could learn from u.  Thank u also to everyone for their inputs.
