A word cloud component for Adobe Flex (4) with decent customisation options?
I've been looking for a word cloud component (or mature open source project) to enable me to dynamically create word clouds on-the-fly from a string of words or perhaps word+frequency pairs (The size of the words needs to be proportional to the number of mentions). I will be doing this inside a Flex app so it needs to be AS3. Software such as Wordle is awesome but it is (a) not available for commercial projects and (b) built on Java rather than Flex. Similarly, Tagxedo has a great feature set but it is not available as a plugin/source code, plus it is made in Silverlight.
Thing is, I'm prepared to pay for the right product. I'd be amazed if someone out there hasn't produced a commercial product that will do this - kind of like fusioncharts but for word clouds instead of charts.
The only one I've found is here: http://activeden.net/item/tag-cloud-component/41684 but it is ugly and has very few features.
