You can verify onkeypress for the text box.  Search for the window.event.keycode and look for value 13

I apologize for not being more specific. This web page actually has a textbox and a search button. I would like for the user to be able to press enter in the textbox and have it click the search button.

Surround the textbox and submit button with a panel.  In the asp:Panel there is a defaultButton attribute.  Set the value to your submit button (which I'm assuming is an asp:button) Id.
