Ability for Mac OS-X 10.6 to change Windows 2008 domain password

In the past our Mac users, like others, have been forced to change their Windows domain password via a PC.

Our mac users now run the following environment and I am wondering if this is now possible to perform on the Mac;

Mac Os - OS-X 10.6 (Snow Leopard)
Email client - Outlook 2011 (Exchange 2007 server)
Domain - Windows 2008 (at 2008 functional level)
I would appreciate it if anyone can give a categorical yes or no, supporting links/information would be a bonus.

I found the same link, but am trying to find out if current technology supports password changes.
Absolutely - if they are users in active directory, they simply need to log in, open system preferences, select accounts, theirs will be highlighted, change password.

This will change their password in AD.
Macs will need to be joined to the domain for the above to work obviously.

NO. from Mac computer side, you cannot change a domain user's password though you may be prompted to give the credentials while accessing domain resources.
I fought with this issue for many years and it has never been very reliable even when it does (kinda) work.. ..we bought this for all our macs bound to AD -->

One very very easy way, is to have them log onto webmail.  From there, they can change their AD user password easily - doesn't matter what OS - MAC, Linux, Windows, anything
Kaffiend,
I believe Exchange requires an Internet Explorer client to enable password change. As IE is not supported in Snow Leopard I'm wondering how you achieve this.

Let me know.....
