Crystal XI Pie Chart - Detaching Slice

In Crystal XI, for pie charts, the "Detach Slice" feature in Chart Expert does not appear to work.  Is this a glich, or is there a trick to it?  Thank you in advance!

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

What have you tried?
I have used it an dit seems to work.

It doesn't detach the slice until you preview with your data.

I have tried detaching the smallest slice and also the largest slice.  Neither detaches when I preview the data.  The chart shows a group (salesperson) subtotal for a dollars-sold field.

It works on mine.

Can you upload the report?

The way you are building the report, you can only have 1 On Change Of field, you are using 2.

Are you trying to show the pie chart for salesmen by division?
Put the chart in the Group1 header

Look at the samples
The first is using the group header
The second uses a formula for the DIv-Salesperson

If you choose the group method with multiple charts then you can't have detached slices.
